Dimethyl-methoxy chromano is a similar to the synthesis of vitamin E, called lipochroman-6. According to Lipotec SA, this is a kind of analogues for the synthesis of tocopherol, which has great potential as a free radical scavenger and antioxidant. It is said that 0.05% of lipochroman-6 is 20 times stronger than its parent compound g-tocopherol, and 1000 times more effective in inhibiting lipid peroxidation than a-tocopherol. Lipochroman - 6 can be used in cosmetic formulations based on oil phase, such as emulsion, gel and essence, to prevent the aging of immature skin. When dispensing lotion, it is recommended that Lipochroman - 6 be dissolved in the oil phase and be added at the final stage of the production process. Although the addition temperature of the product can reach up to 70 ºC, if there are other oxidizing substances in the formula, the addition temperature should be reduced. The recommended final dosage of lipochroman-6 is 0.01-0.05%.
