Poria cocos, Poria cocos is a kind of fungi, also known as Yuling, Fuling, wanlinggui, FUZU. It is the dry sclerotia of Poria cocos, which is a fungus of the family phellodendraceae. It often parasitizes on the roots of pine trees. It is shaped like sweet potato, spherical, with light brown or dark brown skin and pink or white inside. It is called white Poria cocos or Yunling after refining. Poria cocos is mainly produced in Anhui, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places. It has the effect of seeping dampness and diuresis, benefiting spleen and stomach, calming heart and calming mind.
