Pyrethrum is a kind of perennial herb in Compositae, which can be as high as 60 cm. Rhizome short. Stem erect, basal leaves surviving at anthesis, ovate or elliptic, bipinnate. In the first stage, the lateral lobes are oval or oval; all the leaves have petioles, the basal leaves are silvery gray on both sides, and the head inflorescence is solitary, and the stem is apical or cauline, forming a loose corymb. The outer layer of involucral bracts is lanceolate, all bracts are hard and herbaceous, ligulate flowers are white, and the tip of tongue is truncated or slightly concave.
