Mimosa pudica Linn: it is a perennial legume herb or subshrub. It is named Mimosa pudica linn. because the leaves react to heat and light and will be closed immediately when touched by external forces. It is shaped like a pile. After flowering, the fruit is round and flat. The leaves are feather like compound leaves alternate and palmately arranged. The flower blooms after the summer, with long round head, 2-3 in the axil of leaves. The flower is white, pink, calyx bell shaped, with 8 minute calyx teeth, petals four split, stamens four, ovary glabrous. The pods are flat, each pod node has a seed, and falls off between the nodes when mature. The flower period is September.

Mimosa is different from other plants. When it is touched by people, its petioles droop and its leaflets close. Therefore, people understand it as "shy", so it is called induction grass, hehucao, Mimosa, zhimimosa and baochou grass (Cantonese). Native to tropical South America, it likes to be warm and humid, and has general requirements for soil.
