Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine or antineoplastic hormone, is the first vitamin discovered. It is synthesized by fungi, microorganisms and plants, while animals and humans can only obtain it from food. Vitamin B1 mainly exists in the husk and germ of seeds, such as rice bran and bran, and is also rich in yeast. Thiamine is composed of pyrimidine ring and thiazole ring, which is involved in glucose metabolism in vivo.

Function & Application

 

 

1. For Aquatic

 

Due to the extensive role of vitamin B1 in aquatic animals, the long-term shortage of vitamin B1 not only affects its growth, but also produces a series of deficiency diseases through metabolic reaction disorder in vivo. It is found that shrimp, crab and other crustaceans can not synthesize vitamin B1 or the amount of vitamin B1 is very small, which is difficult to meet their own physiological needs, so they must be obtained by artificial feeding. Some scholars have studied the related contents of vitamin B1 in promoting sugar metabolism of Penaeus chinensis. It is found that only when the dietary vitamin B1 is 60mg / kg can the prawn make full use of the sugar source in the diet.

 

2. For poultry

Vitamin B1 also plays an important role in the growth of poultry. The results showed that dietary thiamine above 1.0 mg / kg significantly increased the body weight gain of 3-week-old and 4-7-week-old broilers (P < 0.01). The requirements of 0-3-week-old and 4-7-week-old broilers were 4.0 mg / kg and 1.6 mg / kg, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that vitamin B1 is essential in poultry feed formula.

 

3. Ruminant

Vitamin B1 has special nutritional effect on ruminant. The results showed that during the peak period of lactation, dairy cows were prone to the situation that milk production decreased due to no refined materials. The milk production could be injected by 0.25% vitamin B1 30ml muscle injection, and the light ones started to eat the material on the second day after the administration of the medicine. The heavy ones need to be treated for 2-3 times and then return to normal. Other studies found that Wernicke encephalopathy is due to a long-term fasting, resulting in thiamine deficiency and disease, mainly through vitamin B1 treatment, if diagnosis is timely, treatment can be recovered. In addition, vitamin B1 is a specific drug in the treatment of bovine ketosis and myoglobinuria, and is widely used in organophosphorus poisoning, food poisoning and drug poisoning.
