Medium chain triglyceride (MCT) is a kind of saturated fatty acid. Its main components are octanoic acid (c8h1602) and decanoic acid (c10h2002). After being hydrolyzed by lipase, MCT can be directly decomposed by the liver and provide energy to the body rapidly. MCT is extracted from natural coconut oil or palm oil, colorless and tasteless. MCT can produce a large number of ketones in human metabolism. (ketone body is the product of fat decomposition. After satiation, secretion is increased, lipolysis is inhibited, fat mobilization is reduced, and fatty acids entering the liver are reduced, thus the production of ketone bodies is reduced.
